Jose Manuel Raneda - Guiding Volunteer Activities that Support Seniors

Jose Manuel Raneda is the program manager at the On Lok Senior Center in San Francisco, California. Responsible for the volunteer efforts of around 100 community members, he coordinates activities that help seniors of diverse backgrounds. Jose Manuel Raneda helps organize food distribution, dining services, computer support, and social activities. He coordinates with local partners such as the SF Municipal Transit Authority and SF City College.

Mr. Raneda's experience includes working with San Francisco’s Curry Senior Center as the LGBTQ+ programs coordinator. Responsible for client support, he assessed needs and ensured essential services spanning transportation, housing, and food security. He also coordinated men’s groups to foster positivity in the community and produced Revolting Seniors, a weekly podcast and public forum.

Mr. Raneda’s background extends to a past role with the St. Francis Living Room, where he supervised staff and volunteers, served meals, and directed daily activities. He is an Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate and holds an MBA from Marquette University.
